RobinInOR
Yup, learn that site, those are the rules in relatively easy to understand English. The FAQ has some links to other legal requirements just in case you fall under one of those (Florida, Canada...)http://www.candletech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2047
jenniejr
Warning - The safety of this product has not been determined. So the above statement must be on all lotion; body butter etc...... unless it has been scientifically tested? tia
Candle Man
I also put on mine"Not Tested on Animals Only on Friends and Family"
slow-burn
Warning - The safety of this product has not been determined. So the above statement must be on all lotion; body butter etc...... unless it has been scientifically tested? tiaFrom my understanding it does, unless you send out your products for batch testing. Honestly, my customers don't seem to mind that it is on there. It has not affected any of my sales.
slow-burn
I also put on mine"Not Tested on Animals Only on Friends and Family"I normally tell them that mine was not tested on animals, but has been tested on the IN-LAWS
Elizabeth
FYI:There are other tests that are performed on products "premarket" that determine "safety" (i.e., skintesting, allergy testing). It is my understanding that "batch" testing is just one form of safety testing (testing the integrity of the product in relation to microbial contamination). What is known as "batch" testing is only a small part of the overall safety portfolio of a product.
slow-burn
Yep, you are right Liz, there are numerous tests out there. I was just trying to get one across

slow-burn
Yep, it is going to take some research on their behalf to find out what is really required and/or necessary for FDA regulations and the safety of their prodcut :smiley2:
