OverSoyed
Are they one in the same?Pat Catan's has a load of liquid soap dye on sale for $1.24/ounce bottle, all colors. I didn't get any because I wasn't sure if they'd work the same.
Rachael
To my knowledge that are not the same .I don't know the actual reason besides one is cosmetic grade the other isn'tHTH

OverSoyed
I thought there'd be a difference... but it's so hard to stay away from clearance items. HAHA
topofmurrayhill
We use a type of solvent dye for candles that isn't approved for skin applications. The water-soluble dyes used in soap obviously aren't compatible with wax.The are some pigments (not dyes) that are used in both, but pigments have only limited application in the candle world because they clog wicks. Candybee
The only liquid soap dyes I use in my soap are FDA approved. Your supplier should list this info or you should call to check for sure.
