eugenia
Gran, leave it for 24 hours. If it does not want to slide out, put it in the freezer for 1 hour.e
8-GRAN-ONES
Thanks Eugenia...I'll do that...I just thought of something...was I supposed to put the plastic side of the paper next to the soap or next to the pipe...because I put the plastic next to the soap...please please tell me that I did not totally mess up... jbren
That's fine. I don't even line mine. Put it in the freezer for a while, then take it out and when it is warming up, use a spice bottle or something similar to help it out.

CareBear
but you are supposed to have the plastic side toward the soap...Also, if you "reverse roll" up some of the freezer paper for a day, or maybe even a couple of hours, then it will uncoil out toward the sides of the pipe when you roll it plastic side in... am I making sense? sudsnwicks
To deal with the seepage problem, I line with 2 layers of the freezer paper. With the seams on opposite sides of each other.
8-GRAN-ONES
Thanks I will try the 2 liners next time...Something I was not expecting, was, when I pushed the soap out of the pipe the freezer paper stayed in the pipe..but the soap came right out...I just might get brave and try with out paper next time.... sudsnwicks
The seepage must have "glued" the freezer paper to the pipe.I have never been brave enough to try it without the paper liners.
8-GRAN-ONES
Your right the seepage did cause it to stick...but the soap came out smooth and beautiful...I just bought one of those really thin cutting mats....I might just try that...I would really hate to loose soap by not being able to get it out.. thecandlespastore
Can't wait to see it!Does anyone know if Lowes will cut them to order for you? I know Home Depot won't.
CareBear
I just might get brave and try with out paper next time....If you are feeling mighty strong and patient - go ahead... I've done it without, even greased it up with mineral oil. Took me and extra 6 days to get the soap out of the mold.

digit
Can't wait to see it!Does anyone know if Lowes will cut them to order for you? I know Home Depot won't.They may. I would go when the store is not too busy and ask. I know they have 24" sections. I got one and DH cut it for me.Digit

sudsnwicks
Candlespastore, you could go there at an off peak time. If they aren't busy, it's more likely they will help you even if it isn't the store's policy to cut it up. In my case, the hardware store here had to cut it up, because they sell it in 20 foot (minimum) sections and if they didn't cut it, it wouldn't fit in the customer's car.
