kandlekrazy
I have some status jars that I'm pouring glass glow into and will need to send them out in about 10 days. My question is, do you think it would be safe to pop the lids on the jars, or should the candles cure more before the lids are added. Bear in mind, that these lids seal tight and do not allow air to circulate in the container. I'll box up the lids separately if necessary. Last time I did these I had time for a 3 week cure before sealing them up.TIA!!
jakalex
I always put my lids on 24 hours after I pour. As long as the candles are completely cool you can put the lids on. Lids on or off should have nothing to do with cure time.
kandlekrazy
ok, thanks...the only reason I wait is I've noticed with soy that if I cover too soon the fo leaks out...I'm in extremely high humidity here and I think that is why it happens. larrycat
I always put the lids on as soon as they cool. No problems here!
kandlekrazy
Thanks, I covered a couple after about 12 hours and waited a week to cover the rest. They were all ok to ship out last week. I'm so glad it's over!

Soy or palm, when the candles have set up for 24 hours or are absolutely cooled, the tops go on.
