Clamshell pouring temps?

Recommended Posts

I did a search in the little blue box but did not find an answer.

What is the highest temp that you can safely pour wax into the plastic tart clamshells? Not sure of the supplier so I can't ask them directly. I bought the clamshells from an individual who suggested that I ask the board. :)

Oh...I use the dreaded monster paraffin!!! So...I DO pour hotter than with the "100% all-natural, sweetcake-of-a-wax"...soy. *wink*

Scroll down to the end of your thread and there may be some like or similar threads to help with the search.

I've gotten away with pouring up to 170 and no damage to the package.
