pgray1229
I was cleaning my votive mold, and I cut myself!! Those things are razor sharp. Thank goodness I'm good with my tetanus shot, lol. Anyone else have sharp votive molds? The told molds are sharp too, but not that bad.I did my repour, and they're looking good! I will post pics when they cool off and I release them from their molds. Luci
Yep, those votive molds are cutters for sure. I learned that the hard way!
artcwolf
Think we all have cut ourselves with those molds.

Jane42
They are terribly sharp! I have worn gloves while wiping them out and they have cut right through my glove and into my hand!I don't wipe them out anymore...just pop them in the oven upside down on a lined cookie sheet and let the wax melt off. Occasionally, some wax will stick - then I carefully wipe it out with a HUGE piece of paper towel so my hand gets nowhere near the edges...lol
Scented
My votive molds (the majority) are at least 4 years old and they still cut me. So do the ones I have from the 1990s. The buggers!
Stella1952
I have also donated blood in this manner.I keep meaning to take one and see if my grinder will smooth it off a little... but until I do, I handle those buggers with towels and a LOT of respect!! Even the aluminum molds I use can be pretty sharp...:undecided
