cybersix
Hi, I'm going to sell my first order, some pillars for a friend.I wanted to make some labels.. and I was thinking of a nice name for my very little business.I wanted something that reminds me of cats, I love cats. One of the name is "Meow Candles", the other is "Punto e Virgola Candele"I'm italian, Punto and Virgola are the names of my cats..What do you think could be better? "Meow Candles" to me is very nice, but here in Italy people doesn't speak english often.. What should I do?TIASabrina
Guest EMercier
Well, you know I like the Italian version. It seems elegant, especially if Italians in Italy don't speak much English. JIMO.

sudsnwicks
I would go with the Italian name, if people in Italy don't use English much.

cybersix
Forgive me if the translation is off.... I like 'Cero Fanale' (Candle Light). The Italian translation is so classy! excuse me but "Cero Fanale" made me laugh a lot!!The translation of "Candle light" is "Luce di Candela" , "light of candle". LOL!!It's very funny playing with different languages!
cybersix
I like Virgola ... maybe Virgola Candles? :smiley2:Oh yes, Virgola is very nice, but I don't want to forget Punto, they go always together as Stanlio and Ollio (Laurel & Hardy). They eat together, sleep together.. so I would keep even their names together!! DatCandleMaker
Could you use their initials or shorten their names. You would be honoring their memory but making the business name easier to pronunciate. P&V Candeles ?????? either way I like it. I think making the name personal and the story behind it is wonderful. My company name has nothing to do with candles, but the story behind it is very nice and people always remember it Good luck! Dat

cybersix
wow, very nice!!but in italian is "Candele del gatto felice", in your translation happy are the candles, instead in that form it means the cat is happy, right? We invert adjective, you use adjective + subject, we use subject + adjective.I appreciate so much your interest in this discussion!!Thanks!!
