sweetlyloved4
Hi everyone, I've been using ecosoya cb advanced and lx wicks. When I re-light my candles there is a sort of crackling sound that comes from the wick for 1 or 2 seconds. Has anyone ever experienced this? This is so weird to me. Thanks for all your help. You guys are the best!
ah-soy
Are you trimming the wicks before you re-light?
chrisasst
yes, when I used LX 14, they did that..
Oh-MYo
Yes, I have noticed that. I do trim my wicks and think that it happens more often when the wick has self trimmed on last burning so there isnt enough to trim before lighting. Also I have started using a hurricane/torch type lighter to light my candles now and notice the crackling sound more with that method. Its the only time they crackle, when the candle is being lit---honestly I never gave it much thought till you mentioned it.
