DONNAMAC
Does anyone know if you can put the Do Right mold into the oven. I am wanting to do a salt bar and make sure it gells. I have made them before without gell, and I thought they were fine, just heard they are better when they gell.
Morganst
Yes, I do CPOP all my batches and I use Mr. Do Right molds sometimes. They're fine in the oven at 170 degrees anyway.Good luck!
Luci
I just re-read the thread on cpop and would like to give it a try with my Do Right mold. One question: I blanket my mold with towels, etc. If using the oven in this manner, am I correct in thinking that the mold is not enveloped in any way? CareBear
you don't wrap a soap in the oven. i don't even cover any that I put in the oven.
8-GRAN-ONES
I have a question Carebare..or whom ever might see this first..I just put my first soap ever in the oven in a do right mold..How long do you leave in the oven?I was thinking of just one hour, then turning off and leaving all day..Does this seem the right way to do?? CareBear
probably too late now. I personally turn off the oven once the soap is in there, but others leave it on for an hour and then turn it off. Leave the soap in overnight (but if you see sweating/cracking/rising - take it out!)
