2rottndogs
I've heard of writers block, but never candle block. I haven't poured a candle in over 2 months. I moved my stuff from the kitchen to the spare bedroom and I'm just not motivated enough to organize everything AGAIN. I'm so tired of testing and the creative juices just don't seem to be flowing.Kimberly
Stella1952
Blocks happen in any creative pursuit. The more one frets, the worse the block becomes. When you are ready, plan a simple project that you can achieve with your eyes closed so that the experience will build your confidence and whet your appetite for MORE! Vicky_CO
That is very common I go though dry spells where making anything is a chore so I do other things till the bug comes back. It don't take long either for me there may come a time where I just say enough is enough.
kandlekrazy
I don't know what the weather is like where you are, but here it's hot and humid and making candles is the last thing I want to do(still pouring, but not near as many)...I know when it cools down, I'll want to make them again. 2rottndogs
It's been hot and humid here too and I keep looking at all these new jars I have that I have to test because they're not what I normally use. LOL.... this has been so bad that I'm even beginning to find humor in it!Kimberly
2rottndogs
I mean clients are even asking when the Fall and Winter scents are coming out and all I can do is look at them with this stupid grin on my face. Kimberly

geekrunner
You could do what I did--enjoy the outdoors on a mountain bike! Once the weather starts turning and the trails are unrideable, I'll huddle down in my Mad Scientist Lab and test new scents and jars.geek
DONNAMAC
Maybe you should just step away from it for a while, I was getting so stressed and bored with it, that I just had to quit for a while. I really love making candles,so don't want to give it up, but filling orders was starting to become a real chore. I learned how to make cp soap, and am loving that right now. So different, and I am hoping with doing this for a while, I will eventually want to get back into the candles. Not good to get so involved in one thing, that it gets overwlming. Just step back a while and maybe you will have a change of heart.
