Jane42
Not sure if this will help you, but if you check the "search" you may find people who have tried it.I found this one post...http://www.candletech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=48404&highlight=glitter+container
CelestialSoyCandles
Thanks!I did end up doing that - but I wasnt getting answers I was looking for - I am looking to glitter up the whole candle in the container - not just the tops - I guess I will experiment and then post my results Heather
Judy, USMC
The only thing that I've seen come close to that glitter effect is the Glass Glow palm wax. A lot of forum users are in the testing phase and lots of pictures in the Gallery, too.
Sharon in KY
Even if you could get the glitter to go all through the candle you couldn't see it cause of soys opacity.
Bella Luna
If you have a very fine cosmetic grade glitter, you may be able to 'paint' it onto the sides of the container before you pour. I've never tried it myself, but perhaps if you poured very slowly it would stay?
Judy, USMC
www.candletech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=49788&highlight=glass+glowHere's the link to the photos of the Glass Glow. Wicking of large diameter candles is under discussion now...seems anything over 3 1/2 inches will require double wicking. When is the wedding? You may not have enough time to do all the testing. grama
Aroma Heaven has the glitter. You can check with them and see what they say about. They call it candle glitter I think. hth
Brenda (OH)
I have used cosmetic glitter on the tops of the candle only without any adverse burning issues. I have found that the glitter will sink to the bottom of the MP when lit. I would think that trying to add glitter into the melt pot before pouring, it would sink also and not "suspend" for a full glitter effect in your candle. sthncmft
Trying to fill the container with glittered wax won't work - the wax is opaque and the glitter will fall to the bottom before the wax has cooled.I've tried something unique that works. I melt some gel wax and add glitter to it. Pour a wick container about 1/3 full of gel and swirl it around to properly coat the inside. Pour out, let cool, and then make container candle as usual. Adding a coating of glittered gel gives an appearance of the container being full of glittered wax. The burn is not affected.HTH!
Vicky_CO
Hmmm that is a pretty good idea I will have to try that when I get time.
Laura
i wonder if rubbing some vaseline inside the jar, then sprinkling the glitter would work?

8-GRAN-ONES
I had emailed Aroma Heaven about their pearlizing powder and they said that it works good in soy..I have not tried it yet but it sounds like it would be pretty..

I don't think it would show up at all in wax. Michael's has glitter in 1 oz bottles that is the same thing. I believe it's called Jones Glitter. I would buy from there if your only looking for an oz or two.

I know nothing about gel but I have some med density. I'll have to check to see what the melt point is. Also will med. density hold glitter suspended?
