I have been buying my CD wicks from one person...I ordered some samples from another company,,and needed wicks, they had CD wicks, I bought them...but they do not seem the same..so was wondering..Also another question..can one type of wick work in a FO where another type does not work well for scent throw? ...I know I have been asking a lot of questions, but I don't know a better place to ask.. SEP
They definitely differ from supplier to supplier. I make sure I always buy from the same source, because I did the same thing you did, and the wicks were different. You never know what they are primed with, and that can make a difference too.And yes certain wicks work better than others in different applications. That is another place where your testing comes in.Sandi
Candybee
Ditto here! I did the same. Ordered the same wicks from another supplier once and got something completely different down to the wick tab.Now I got which suppier figured out for which wicks. Candybee
Ooo! I hate that! I'd find another supplier. They should hold tight!
silkysoycreations
That's sooo aggravating. I've made it a habit now to crimp my wicks everytime just so it won't happen. I don't know if that is a supplier thing because I've had that happen with various suppliers. If you crimp everytime all should be good . Candybee
You shouldn't HAVE to crimp! Honestly I would call the supplier and tell them about the wicks. They may exchange them. At least it will alert them that there is a problem with the wicks.
