aimgrace
I wanted to say thanks to everyone on these threads. I have learned so much from everyone. Today I was making 2 round pillars. I have learned from everyone who does pillars about the hot, molten, wax spills that can potientially happnen. So I always pour slowly and watch closely to the bottom. I always have my molds on a rack on a cookie sheet just in case. Well today I ended up with a nasty leak. Since I pour so slowly and watch so closely to the bottom, I was able to save myself from a nasty clean up. So thanks everyone for sharing your adventures and mis-adventures. You may never know just how much you may be teaching someone.

ashncandles
Yeah I've made a mess or two in my time. I learned that those rubber mold plugs don't like me! Combined with mold sealer and scotch tape they do just fine tho!
fredron
If you will PM me, I'll tell you how to never have a pillar leak again. No plugs, no tape & no gooey sealer.Fredron
