For those of you using EO's in soy...

Recommended Posts

Can I ask how much EO per lb of soy wax are you using? I do have those EOs in my shop and have added them to enhance an FO but never alone. Also, I had heard that orange EO dissipates over time and doesn't hold in wax. Is this true? I would love to start working with some pure EO blends. One more thing - are you using a pure soy or a soy blend?

Thanks!

Most citrus EO's used alone in wax will fade over time and will also give a fuel smell when burned. However, if you anchor it with other EO's (patchouli is a good anchor) it doesn't fade as fast, nor give off a fuel smell. Depending on your wax, 1 oz./lb is a good starting point. I'm like you, I usually add my EO's to my FO's to enhance my throw!! :cool2:
