shell1226
I bought some M&P soap and a mold and I also bought a kit to do the loofah in the M&P. Last night I tried the one with the loofah. YUK!! That thing was so scratchy I thought my skin would bleed from it. I'll have to try the other one...no loofah this time.
MaryinCary
OMG I'm surprised to hear that. I love my loofah soaps! Where did you get your loofah from?
shell1226
It came in the kit. I think that maybe I need to buy it separately. I didn't expect it to be so rough. Where do you get your loofah from?
Michi
Oh man, I bought some loofahs to do some in M&P, but haven't tried them yet, I hope they aren't too terribly rough. I got mine at a dollar store (not dollar tree but some other one I'd never heard of before).I had a bad experience last night with a super rough soap I made last night though-eek!! Whole nother story though.
mountainmadness
I think that it is the quality of your loofah. I have made loofah soaps for a couple of years now and everyone loves them, inlcuding me. I have felt the cheaper ones before and they are not as soft.HTH. MommaD
It must have been your loofah. I have made some before, and loved them. I think like the above poster said, the cheaper that they are, the rougher that they are.
KristinesShower
It really helps to soak them first and make sure they are soft before you embed them. I know what you mean by being hard though - my first loofah soap I ever made literally scratched my skin so bad I could only use them on my feet! shell1226
So, for those of you that make them, where do you get your loofah?
