MommaD Posted September 25, 2005 Share Posted September 25, 2005 My soaps, I usually had to put them in the freezer, and then turn them upside down on something, and let them sit. cindym Posted September 25, 2005 Share Posted September 25, 2005 I just made some soap today in Tony Molds, I used sodium lactate and rubbed a little olive oil in them and stuck them in the oven for 1/2 hour at 150 when they were completely cooled I just pushed on one of the long ends and the soap slid right out. mountainmadness Posted September 26, 2005 Share Posted September 26, 2005 I have found that over heating the oils and some FO do not allow easy removal of the soaps. I did try "greasing" the mold when I first started making soap in molds but it proved worthless. The oil that you use to grease it saponifies anyway when making CP soap.
