hello gel candle makers

Recommended Posts

Just wanted to say hello. My name is bill, my wife donna and I have been making gel candles for about a year now. We love making them. We will even be opening a gel candle shop here in Jacksonville Florida, starting in Feb. Guess we have really got hooked. We are always looking forward to meeting new gel candle makers. My wife does most of the actual work on the candles. She does the melting and mixing and pouring. I do the designing and supervising. Well she lets me do the supervising most of the time.

Nice to find this place and looking forward to talking with you all

Hi Bill and Donna! Just saw this post while catching up. Congratulations on your store, how is it going? I am wanting to place my first gel order and the nearest supplier is the GelCandleShop near J-ville. Do you know anything about them, I can't find anything in the forums.

Hi Juggy...if the one you are referring to is in St. Mary Florida ...which I think is the one you mean...it is not open for some reason. No one has been able to contact them or find out what happen to them for about 3 months. The owners name is Melody if that is the one you are talking about ..I think you will need to find another supplier.

Do you live near Jax. maybe I can help you find one.

Hi Bill,

Thanks for responding. That is the one I was talking about. I don't have a supplier yet so I'm looking for one near me on the gulf coast. I long for the day when I can get everything I need at one location (within short driving distance). Not asking for much am I?:laugh2:

Well good luck with finding one juggy. I've been looking. The closest I can find to me in Jacksonville is outside of miami. I'm not driving 12 hours round trip to pick up gel. So I guess I'm stuck with paying $200 or so for shipping on a drum of gel.
