  1. I am a Beeswax fan, and avid user of it! yes, we are few and far between lol
  2. I agree, that is very cool. Think I might have to try doing that myself!!!!!!
  3. Using a doulbe boiler is the way to go... why add scent to something that smells sooo good to start with?????
  4. You could always by a dragon figurine and make your own mold from that.
  5. Those are NICE looking candles, excellent job
  6. Welcome Bill and Donna!!!! Good luck with the store.
  7. The better business bureau sounds like a good idea. I read somewhere that posting to certain blogs, or actually starting one can have a great effect. What about small claims courts? I hear it doesn't take long to fill out papers.
  8. You would be correct, I have had no frosting or mottle effect on any of the candles that I have made so far. They do end up getting a 'bloom' on them after a while, but that is easily removed.
  9. Thank you for the explainations. I have only make beeswax candles and this doesn't happen to me so I didn't really understand.
  10. I have seen a few postings in here about the frosting of Soy candles. Does anyone had a picture they could post here so I understand what is being talked about? TYIA
  11. The operation I deal with is not huge, they keep there bees in the hives and just cover them in the winter. It gets very cold up here in the winter and they are fine. There is enough food for them and they keep there hives warm. There is no need to ship them to a warmer climate.
  12. As far as i know bees are moved around by truckloads for pollenating, it would be easy for this to spread across the country. Maybe it was a nat or something, I have never raised bees
  13. I agree with the double boiler idea, just do few candles at a time and see how you like it. You probably wont want to stop!!!!
  14. Thanks, but I think with the exchange and shipping its just easier for me to take a little drive upto my supplier. any word on the quality form those places?
  15. i think it's best to use a diffuser if you are looking to do something like that. I don't scent my candles but offer diffusers so that people can melt wax above the candle and add any scent they have.
