spagirl
I am testing one of my first candles (still), and there seems to be an uneven meltpool. One side seems to be 1/2 inch and the other is not melting, if so very little. It has reached the edge on the other side. Does this mean I don't have the wick perfectly centered or is there something else going on. I tried doing a search on this topic with no luck. Please help. Scented
Helps to know what kind of candle and if you have a pix, would you show it?
Ahuff
Also need to know what type and size wick you are using - they may be self trimming ones that curl to one side.
jillgunter
Do you have it lit with a fan in the room. THat makes mine do that sometimes. We have very high ceilings(20 feet), and have to have the fan going or it gets really hot upstairs.
Meridith
I agree, we need more information, the jar, wax, additives and the type of wick used. If you are using a self trimming wick like an HTP, this could be what is causing the hang up among other things.
spagirl
I am using Ky Perfect Blend (parasoy) in a 16 ounce round mason jar. The wick I am using is 65-52-18-zinc for a wick. It gets full melt pool in about 45 minutes but after that it only keeps melting down on one side. Please help!!!
hotmama2700
I have never used parasoy I have only used j50 but they are both soft waxes. I use the 16oz masons and usually only need to use a 60-44-18 to get a good melt all the way. Unless I am wicking orange clove than i have to use a 62-52-18 which burns beautifully for me what fo are you using.
spagirl
I am using Cotton Candy from KY candle wax supply (smells pretty good but not much like cotton candy, BCN has cotton candy that smells right on)
