Kelly
What can you use to clean soy wax out of a votive mold? I forgot to order some cleaner and mold release so wish me luck! TIA
idacandlelady
Soy wax should come out with soap and hot water, just make sure you dry it real good (so you don't get rust). Or if you have a heat gun just give it a blast with that then wipe out with paper towel. HTH

Kelly
Too easy! Thanks!! Would you guys recommend spraying with cook spray lightly before pouring into the molds?
Candle Makin Momma
I don't. I just put them in the freezer for a few minutes ( not too long cuz they will crack) then they pop right out

Kelly
Well it popped out easy, but I got a little crack... guess I keep it in the freezer too long. I stepped away to read a post real quick and went back to the freezer in what felt like a minute!
Grumpy Girl
Oven, 170 degrees or less, molds upside down on top of paper towels for about 15 minutes or so. Wipe.Heat gun, paper towels, wipe.
Meridith
Oven, 170 degrees or less, molds upside down on top of paper towels for about 15 minutes or so. Wipe.Heat gun, paper towels, wipe.Yeah what she said! Also know that soy wax does clean up with hot, soapy water, it still is a wax and will clog your drains. Candle Makin Momma
Yes I have felt the pain of votives before. Eek!!If your votives crack after being in the freezer for a few minutes, you might try adding EZsoy or another 100% soy to soften it up a bit.I have the worst time with votives that kept cracking and I fixed it with the ezsoy
