Luci
A friend referred me to this notice http://www.cpsc.gov/cpscpub/prerel/prhtml07/07038.htmlI've tried to figure out if these candles are made out of hollowed out gourds or if they are from candle molds. The tall one looks like it has to be a mold. Are any of you familiar with these candles?
jldorrington
i'd say molds the way their melting looks like its solid wax
Scented
They look like molds to me too.
Lauchie
that their prices are that cheap considering they are coming from Pottery Barn. Their prices are always very expensive just because of the name.
Luci
I was also surprised at the prices. However, the recall statement says they are made in Vietnam. Maybe they are paying slave-labor wages.
jillgunter
Those are cute candles, they probally put huge wicks in them or something.
Tanya
OH bummer! I based my gourds off of ones I saw at the PB. I thought mine looked more realistic and theirs looked more plastic.
Everito Bandito
"Incidents/Injuries: None reported."Makes me wonder if someone just didn't have a beef with someone else. I see all kinds of novelty candles with shapes that don't really look like they will provide a very safe burn. However, I've not seen a recall on a budda shaped candle or a sitting knitting grandma shaped candle.
