  1. I have just put a small piece of the wick down beside the other wick & it worked great. Of course you would never sell it. If you are just test burning, it will work great. Just make sure you watch it good. I hate wasting things.
  2. Thanks everyone. I am glad my question helped someone else also. That's what makes this site so fun. We learn from each other.
  3. I bought from them several years ago. I love their tart warmers. They have the removable trays on them & are so cute. I need to order some more for my store. The ones I am talking about are more for the tarts. I can not find their web site or phone # so I can order a current catalog. TIA
  4. It is my understanding that 6006 is the old Dusseck 5766 or also called BP Global 5766. I had heard that & then when I was at the BitterCreek convention in June the IGI wax guy was there & he also told me that was true. I haven't used it to know if that is true. Too many times they tell you that & it is enough different that you have to start over with your testing & that is a pain. Hope that helps but I would still try to check on Monday to confirm what I have said.
  5. Old Virginia Candles Co. has a money candle & they come in different shapes. You can get anything from $1.00 to $50.00. They are wrapped in tin foil & the dollars are sometimes coins. I have them in my store. Haven't sold alot of them but they are unique.:rolleyes2
  6. Let me say, I have never made these but I am considering doing them just because, we own a Portable Toilet business. We have over 500 units plus the fancy restroom trailers. I think they would be great for scenting our fancy units. We would have to put not to use to ripe your butt. But it would be great to scent these restrooms. Would I have it in my house? NO. But for our business I think it would be novel & I think the people would like it also. IMO
  7. I love mine with the spigots. I think it would be more of a pain to have to pour it out because I just open the spigots & put it right into my bottles. It is super easy to clean. I never use water. I just ripe it out with a paper toilet & make sure if there is any wax left in the spigot, I heat it up & shovel the paper towel as far into the spigot as it will go both ways. Super easy. My presto pots have never seen water. LOVE,LOVE them. I just wish I had more time to use them.
  8. My hubby used a 3/4" drill bit. Who told you to use a 19/32? My husband has never heard of that size either. I know nothing. I know I love my 2 & would like more. I have a 200 lb. one that I never heat up. It is just to easy to use the pots.
  9. I just tried to order & I got clear to the end & then it told me that it couldn't display the page I was going to. I guess oh well. I get so upset when I can't do what I want on the internet. It is usually when I am at the very end that it doesn't work.
  10. Jamers, What town are you in? I am in Southeastern Idaho. We probably aren't too far apart.
  11. They couldn't get a hold of me yesterday, so they left messages on my e-mail & left a message on my business line, that my credit card didn't go through. I don't know if I typed a wrong number or what, but now I can't take care of it till Monday & it stresses me because I hope I don't lose my spot This is going to be my first conference. I have taught soap making, lotion making & several different personal classes but I will not teach candle making. They have tried to get me to but I don't want to give all my secrets away. :lipsrseal
  12. Guess what? I'm going. Yahoo. I am so excited. See you all there.
  13. And I haven't heard anything from Doreen. I did it earlier today so I thought I would hear something. I really want to go. I hope I get to go.:tiptoe:
  14. NO!!!!!! I would put it on a warmer till the scent was all gone & then I would throw it away. Use new wax to make a candle. That is what I would do. She might be able to use the containers to make the candles but PLEASE tell her to use new wax.
  15. I have ordered scents & wax from them. The wax I got I couldn't find anywhere else, it had been discontinued. I was so greatful to find it. They were great to work with. I called & visited with him. They kind of have odd hours though. I think their hours are posted on their website. Hope you can use them because they really were easy to work with.
  16. We own a septic tank pumping business & that is a no no. If a company is there to pump your tank & they can smell chemicals it makes it a hazardous product & has to dispose in a plant they can take care of it. Even if you live in the city & do not have a tank but on city sewer if it kills their bugs which help with the plant they have a way to figure out where it come from & they will fine you big time. So either way you have to pay big time. Not a thing you want to find out the hard way. You should check with your local area & see what they recommend.
  17. Yes!!! It is suppose to may it easier to start the fires plus make it smell good. It burns hot enough that it completely burns the wax so there is nothing left in the fireplace. Hope that helps.
  18. Yes it depends where you are at & how much you do. I do quarterly & have to have it in by the 20th of the month. They should have told you when you got the #. I would call them & tell them what you do & they will let you know how often you have to pay.
  19. that their prices are that cheap considering they are coming from Pottery Barn. Their prices are always very expensive just because of the name.
  20. Right Sharon. I really enjoy my candle making. It is my R&R. Craft fairs & home parties are hard work but I still do those too plus I have my own store front. I just got 10 new scents last week. I already have 150+ scents & just keep going.
  21. you get close to the end of the bottle & there is no more. Those that die with the most scents still dies. I have withdrawals when I don't have a new scent to try.
  22. It is a new scent from this candle company. It smells really good. I will have to get a sample & see how close it is. Thanks, debscents.
  23. Has anyone smelled this scent? I smelled another large companies cinnamon spruce & it is wonderful. Wondering where I could get this scent?
  24. Manufacturer. People don't know what a chandler is. They understand manufacturer. That way they know I made them. It sounds big even if my candle room is only 20 feet by 60 feet.
  25. for making the molds for tarts. I work in a dental office & could get some of that but it is expensive being from the medical field & you always pay more. Thanks so much.:smiley2:
