julwid
those look really cool looking. Is that a hurricane also or a pillar. could not tell
dwarfie
it is a 3" round pillar with a 2" core. i just stuffed the potpourri between the mold and the core candle. it kind of works like a hurricane because only the core candle burns so the potpourri glows
CountryGal
That's really cool. So, you just wick it for the 2" core then right and use the same wax? I haven't tried my hand at pillars, but that inspires me to want to. Some day. LOL

eugenia
Be very careful. I had a series of flaming potpourri candles years ago. They all caught fire. Could have been due to the fact that I was verynew. I too used a 2" pillar core with a 3" mold with the potpourri stuffedinside.

dwarfie
i was testing one at work about a month ago with a smaller core candle and yup....it caught on fire. i thought for sure i was going to get fired. mind you i kept checking it and saw the potpourri getting closer to the flame as it fell from the melted wax and left it to see what would happen now that i'm making them with a 2" core i haven't had any problems. i have warned my customers but they still want them. Scented
Flames here too. All it takes is for one piece of potpourri to get too close and poof and it'll happen a lot easier than if you use a harder wax for the shell than your core candle.
