Gravity
Hello all, I'm new here... but I've spent DAYS reading up on all the old posts around here.I just did a search and read the back and forth arguments over cure times... but didn't find anyone discussing using 100% soy. Most arguments discussed using soy blends.Anyone here using 100% Soy (Mine is from NG) have some advice on cure times? I have 3 scents I poured yesterday... after 24 hours, the cold throw is quite nice.... hot throw is barely there, if at all.Any help for this newbie would be appreciated! mindy5140
I cure mine 2 days to a week. Depending on how long I can wait till I can't stand it anymore.Mindy
Gravity
Thanks, Mindy... That's about what I figured... from reading the past discussions, I gathered a 3-5 day cure time would be sufficient... but that was based on soy blends. If anyone else wants to chime in on the subject, I'd be more than happy to hear it! Lace
The place where I get my 100% soy wax says around 5 days and that is what I usually do.
stacien
I know everyone has said this one time or another but I use GB 415. If I go and check back on the ones I poured a year ago. I actually am amazed how much intense the throw is compared to when I first poured it.
lisajo
I use BG 100% soy and test anywhere from 3-5 days after pouring. Sometimes, if I am particularly anxious I'll test after 24 hours. I get the same results using KY 100% soy.
KristinesShower
I use NG 100% soy and I don't sell any candle before they've cured for 2 straight weeks. Actually I like curing them longer - the throw is amazing the longer they sit.
