sharyl55
My latest and last attempt at marbled votives. Just not enough consistency from votive to votive to consider selling them someday. Scented Peaks Asian Sandalwood and Lavender. They are already back in the pour pot.
sharyl55
Had better luck with todays batch of ornies. Sold what I had made up at last Sat. Farmers Market.
geekrunner
They don't look too bad. At least for me, votives don't have to look that good. I would place alot more emphasis on how my pillars look, since some people by pillars that look nice, and don't burn them.
Tallbabydoll
Your ornies look great! As for the marbled votives, I don't think they look bad, but they are way to much work IMO for the small amount of profit they bring in.
Rsvlbrat
How does the Sandlewood/Lavender smell together? Sounds interesting.

Scented
Actually a couple of those votives aren't that bad, but marbeling them is a pita.
sharyl55
The lavender / asian sandalwood smells kinds of musky to me. My neighbor says it smells just like Calmay soap. I like it. My DH says it gives him a headache. Trying to add value to my votives since I'm competing with the cheap prices at the local Dollar Store. Finally decided marbled isn't for me on votives. Want to try some motion votives again but they are really a PITA.Thanks for the kind words on the ornies. The palm tree is lavender / sandalwood. The balance are my version of sea breeze. Only doing 3 scents in the ornies. The 3rd, sex on the beach, are still soaking in their jars. Thought this would give the customers a choice between musky, fresh, and fruity. Will do bakery and Christmas scents for fall / winter shows.
Teercreations
Your votives and ornies look great! I wouldnt worry too much about votives either too much work for such little profit! I have better luck with chunk votives instead of marbled -- just because of the consistency of the colors. Bet they smell great though!! Shannon WY
Looks like you've been busy. Your ornies look fantastic, I like the colors. Good job on the votives too, but I can only imagine how much of a PITA those would be on a regular basis!

Glowlite
your ornies look great. I have yet to try the marbling. But i can see why it would be hard to do in a votive.
