Adding Palm Stearic to soy/para blend

Since stearic has a melt point above most paraffins - how does this actually lower the melt point of paraffin?
It's analogous to an alloy of two metals. The mixture of paraffin and stearic produces something with properties a little different from either one alone. It's called a eutectic.
