ladysj
I have a friend that purchased some coconut oil to use for cooking and she loves it. I'm trying to find her a better price on it than what she paid. It's Unrefined Virgin Coconut Oil. Any help as to where to find a good price on this. Rebecca_IA
Abanga Karite would be a good place to check out. Their virgin CO is the best I've ever used. And if you purchase it in quantity, the price goes down. If she's going to use it for cooking and eating, I'd suggest breaking 10 lbs down to 1 lb containers and freezing all but one pound to preserve the freshness.BTW, I'm sure I misspelled that company name. They do have a website.
SheilaW
Never thought about cooking with it. Would the coconut smell carry over? Doesn't matter, I don't cook anyway and sheer laziness made me quit frying anything long before it was the healthy thing to do.
ladysj
The coconut oil has very good, healthy properties she loves coconut anyway. I just am confused by the different types. Like the difference between FCO, the 76 and I believe it's 92 degree. Am wondering if these are the same thing.
KristinesShower
Now I thought that coconut oil was bad for you when you cook with it? Maybe I am thinking of another oil?www.soaperschoice.com Is a good place to get oils and they are all food grade too.
