Alajane
For Kate'smom:I melt a bit of white soap in a cup and add some paprika for a sand look. The complete instructions are about halfway down the second page of this thread. HTH,Jane
maryann
These really are cute!! I made some before and used kelp granules. After a few times of wondering what the awful smell from the soaps were, it dawned on me that it was the kelp :embarasse. So the next time I make them I'm going to try real sand. We live fairly close to a beach that is rated one of the best beaches in the world because of it's sand (Siesta Key Beach on the West Coast of FL), so I thought the next time I go I'll get a pail of it and sterilize it and try it in a few B&B products. kate
I do these and I use the Oatmeal M&P from WSP - it looks exactly like sand without adding anything to it.KateEdited to add pic (These are some of the first ones I ever did, so they're not great, but you can see what the "sand" looks like using the oatmeal base)
