judyvega
You can get a wagner heat gun at walmart for around $20.00. A lot of peep on here use those, and some get a different type at hardware stores.

Sally
Aha Ebay!I usually look there for everything! LOLNot sure I'd get the same as you guys over here in Scotland but I'll see what Ebay UK has to offer. Can you use it to shrink wrap things as well?I haven't decided how I'll be presenting my products yet so I'm gathering ideas in my big folder ready to make my decisions. My candle making is about the only thing organised in my house.!!! stacien
Sally, Home Depot carries the Milwaukees for a little over 20.00. I just bought mine there a couple weeks ago. I don't think its worth it to go through ebay because most of them are posted for that much and the ones you do find cheap enough you have to pay for the postage then wait for them to arrive when you can just hop in your car and get one. They do shrink wrap. You just have to keep a distance because they get super, super hot. They are originally used to peel paint. An 1875 hair dryer may get hot enough to melt wax or plastic but it also blows the wax all over the place I have tried it and ruined many shirts. I also sometimes use a Creme Brule torch and that works great for candle tops.
Candybee
I've got the wagner brand too with 2 settings--- hot and hottest! Don't remember how much I paid but got it cheap at my hardware store.I use it for all kinds of things. I melt the wax drips off the sides of the jars that I spill and it evens out the tops of candles and even helps make the water spots disappear.Sometimes I heat my jars with it too just before I pour. The best $20 investment I could have made...the tops are perfect now
