KMommy
I am interested in using paraben free preservatives in some skin care products and I have several formulas that call for LiquaPar Pe or Germaben IIE. Can I sub Optiphen for either preservative?
Bunny
According to the manufacturer, straight Opthiphen doesn't cover everything. Check out the link in the sticky on the top of the B&B section, or the new thread in the B&B Faq about preservatives.
KMommy
Thanks Bunny. It sounds like Opthiphen Plus would be the better choice depending on the PH. I haven't a clue what the PH is in the formula. That info. wasn't given. The info. on preservatives here is the best explaination I have seen so far. I'll have to print that - good job!!! daniedb
I like Liquid Germall Plus for my lotions, it's paraben free and quite effective.
