cmspath
this is probably the stupid question of the day.. But how do you do M&P soap base.. do you melt it in the microwave and then add fo and pour into molds? Do you cover the molds with anything? I have some slabs of M&P and have no instructions... :rolleyes2
Crafty1
I melt mine in the Microwave, add the scent, and pour into molds. HTH
mystical_angel1219
This is a basic method for M&P:http://www.teachsoap.com/mp.htmlYou do not have to use the rubbing alcohol. Some people swear by it for eliminating bubbles but I think it makes the soap drying.

MommaD
I heat mine for a few seconds at a time in the microwave, making SURE that the top is covered with Saran wrap, so that the moisture doesn't heat out of the soap. Stir every few seconds, then mix in color and scent, then pour slowly into mold. Then lightly, and I do mean lightly spritz the top of the mold with rubbing alcohol. It has never made my soaps drying, it immediately pops all the bubbles, and people love it. I always do Goat's milk soap.
SatinDucky
Here's the link from the old sidebar http://www.candletech.com/basicmeltpour/I spritz with tha alcohol too, the bubbles can be real ugly and it doesn't seem to make mine anymore drying. Though I do tend to add other stuff as well.
sockmonkey
I've melted it in the microwave, then added color and fragrance. I've also melted it in a "soap" crock from Life of the Party I got on sale at JoAnn Fabrics. It's much easier and neater to use the microwave.
