Anna
I unmolded a log of soap tonight, and the top, sides, and bottom was brown.the middle is a pretty white with yellow swirls. What happen to the soap?I added TD to the soap to make it white. This is the first time I have used TD,and the first time for the edges of the soap to turn brown. Thanks,Anna
Purple Lilac
Sounds like you used a fo with vanilla in it.
Anna
It was Vanilla Fields from BCS.LOL
Bunny
Yup.. Looks like a picture frame?? In a few days, it'll all discolor to that dark brown. Sorry honey.. But normally anything that even sounds like it might have vanilla in it will turn dark on ya..
Purple Lilac
It looks kinda neat for a day or two. The portion you added the TD maynot turn as brown as the rest of the soap though.I have some fo that didn't even sound like they have vanilla in them - who would of thought that strawberry jam would have vanilla in it but it did. Was really disappointed when the soap turned brown, I had rotten strawberry soap.
Anna
I think I will cry,it is so pretty in the middle. So the TD is useless.I used it because I figure it would turn brown. Anna

Meridith
I personally like the brown that soap sometimes turns. I think it gives a very natural rustic kind of look. Plus, folks are really looking to how the soap does and if it dries their skin. Also, for the FOs that turn soap dark, they are great to try a blind swirl in. sudsnwicks
I think the final outcome might look cool. Not what you expected, but still a cool looking soap.
