AngelaVA
I got mine at Wal-Mart, but any home improvement store will have them also. My wal-mart one was much cheaper than the one at Lowe's, but it only has one speed. I haven't found the need for a two speed heat gun yet, so I think I made a good choice. Suzanne
If you don't have a heat gun, try placing them on a cookie sheet and set in a warm (very low) oven for a few minutes. Take them out when just the tops are melted and you can pour off the excess you don't want. Careful tho, you might have to use a hotpad. scntdwik
And while Im talking about containers being too full (Tins)...How full is too full? Ive been pouring them up to about 1/8, eighth of an inch from the top of the tin. Is this too full?
xsami3000x
And while Im talking about containers being too full (Tins)...How full is too full? Ive been pouring them up to about 1/8, eighth of an inch from the top of the tin. Is this too full?I think its a preference thing, I fill mine to just at that little groove and it gives me a nice 3 oz in my 4 oz size tin. This may change if I ever get to move to a new container, but noooooooo the cucumber melon from peaks just hates me. Sorry bout that but I've poured 40 tins and none are working for me.As far as overpouring I say go with the oven method or get to wal-mart for a heat gun. Do you happen to already own an embossing gun? Same thing just not as high a temperature.Sami
tangerine
Craft Stores too! Michaels, Hobby Lobby, JoAnn Fabrics. And Michaels and JoAnn's usually have 40% off coupons in the Sunday paper... They have embossing guns. Personally, I prefer these over heat guns.
