7Angela7
Can you add any additional oils into a lotion base? If so, how much are you able to add or how could I find out? Thanks!
Bunny
I would contact the manufacturer to see how much you can safely add without messing up the preservative. But it's not going to emulsify, it's just going to be oily lotion. I'd recommend you try a few different bases, there just has to be one you're totally happy with! carol k
contact your supplier, most premade bases if you add more stuff to them you mess up the ph and then you will have mold growing in it.
sudsnwicks
It might be easier to just find a lotion base whose texture is already how you want it to feel. Adding extra things might not be easy to incorporate them in properly, plus there is the preservative issue Bunny mentioned. You could check with the supplier too, as I think most bases are meant for you to just add fragrance and color.
7Angela7
Well I found a base that I like, but I wanted to try to add that Monoi oil & see how it is. I called the supplier and they said that I should be safe to add up to 2% of FO, color & oil. We'll see how it goes. Thanks for the advice!
