tucker
Okay Okay Okay. I DID IT. After three pours and watching the wax run out of the mold, "did I quit"??? No way Jose, I may be dumb, but I ani't stooopid. I got a bright idea. I always dip my wicks in wax before using them> I thought,"what the H..." I'm gonna use an unwaxed wick and try for the fourth time. I even added a titch of mold seal right on the hole, taped 'er up and I'll be damned. "it worked". It's beenA ROUGH DAY AROUND HERE, THE WIFE HAD TO FINALLY LEAVE THE ROOM, THE LANGUAGE WAS JUST TOO MUCH FOR HER. (LMAO)
Rsvlbrat
Glad to hear you got it to work. Now, keep that blood pressure down!
Dee
I always use mold seal on the wick hole (a fair amount) Like in the instructions.
Misty
It helps if you can pour at a lower temp. Too high, and the heat will melt the adhesive on the tape. (Trust me I know). I pour around 160 degrees, with great success, and my wick is primed. Hope this helps get your wife back.
Mozzie
Hey Cliff, I feel your pain (and frustration). I find that pouring at 82C or over is asking for trouble but I just poured some wax at 80C and it was fine. Who would have thought that 2C would make that much difference. BTW I prime my wicks.
