quietgirl2004
OK Palm. Palm Kernel, and palm kernel flakes...are they interchangable? Whats the highest percent you go on these?
Kaybee23
Palm Kernel Flakes and Palm Kernel Oil are the same and interchangeable, if I am not mistaken. The Palm Oil and the Palm Kernal are different animals and are not interchangeable with each other, each one provides different properties for the soap. Not sure I explained that correctly. eugenia
Palm Kernal Oil and Flakes (PKO) are cleansing, bubbling oils. I find the flakes very easy to use. I use them with coconut, usually for a total of 25%. Palm oil is a filler hard oil, like lard, helps for a stable, hard bar. I use it all the time at 10-15%.e
sad72
I have to agree, the pk flakes are so much easier to use.
Grannyscandles
I love the flakes also.Hi Kathy!
Melly
I like the flakes, but they are way more exspensive then just PKO here, sooo... I plan on sitting infront of the tv one day with a veggie peeler and a couple pounds of palm kernal oil to make my own flakes. I use mine along with coconut oil 12% coconut, 10% PKO gives a nice lather without drying my skin.
