Sherie
Okay you soapers I have a real crazy question. If I made a log batch of soap, could I run it through a pasta machine and it would make little soap tubes? Stop laughing~~~~~:rolleyes2
eugenia
I broke my pasta machine long ago, LOL. I doubt the soap will go through yours. I'd think it would be too hard and I don't think I want to know what you were considering. :smiley2:
Kaybee23
Sherie, how about through a meat grinder? My mom used to grind up bologna in one when I was little. I think I know what you have in mind, because we think alot alike, LOL!
Sherie
A meat grinder huh.......:rolleyes2 ! Would it make little tubes? LOL, if it works, you might want to know "e"!
Kaybee23
I know she had a little piece that fit inside the grinder that had holes in it and when she stuck the bologna through it, it came out in big strings like spaghetti. So I wouldn't say they were really tubes in the sense that they weren't hollow. I attached a pic and you can kinda see the die in the end of it where the meat comes out and see the little holes in it. They also have one about 10.00 cheaper than the one I put the link on here for, and I believe it will just attach to your counter top. That is the one my mom had.http://www.acemart.com/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=UPI822MG
Kaybee23
Just keep in mind this was for soft meat, not sure how it would do with soap, and the strands would not be very long.

TexasBrat
I use my pasta machine for polymer clay and sometimes I have a hard time getting it to go through when it is a little hard. That grinder looks cool!!

Luvcandletarts2
You gals better post pics of those soaps. I bet they will turn out really unique! How funny how a lot of us are using our kitchen equipment for our soaping/candle creations and not for cooking.
