Maltesima
Just wanted to let you all know that if you get your lye from Sarah's, she has sold the supply portion of her business to another soapmaker. So as of this time, you can't get any lye from her.
sudsnwicks
Boohoo! I did check around and found a comparably priced place:http://www.boyercorporation.com/I called them this morning and was told the case of 12 2lb cans (24 lbs altogether) costs $39.60. Shipping from their shop in Illinois to my house in Oregon would be another $23.74, for a grand total of $63.34. That's also comparable to what I was paying for my 18 oz cans of red devil lye when those were still available last year.

Sara
Shoooooooooot. Lucky, lucky. I really have to look more into a close lye supplier. Fortunately I bought a box of lye from SSC *just* before she closed, apparently.
mysticglow
Uggg, I need to order lye. That's where I got my last order. I almost ordered it over the weekend too. Stupid me decided to wait till after the soap co-op is out of my shop. What was I thinking!!!!!! Where else can we buy this? Nevermind, I found a few in our handy links. sudsnwicks
Sara, according to SSC, she is selling the supply side of her biz to another soapmaker, in order to focus on the retail end. So, you might be able to get it from the new person whoever it turns out to be, if their prices happen to be comparable.
