candlesinflorida
I am looking for tape that won't immediately lose adhesion when it contacts oily wax. Does anyone know if that is pfte tape or exactly what works best? I have been using plain scotch tape but it doesn't work well. I use tape sometimes to tape notes to the side of a container when I am testing wicks and also to tie down string that supports wicks in large multi-wick candles. (It isn't something that customers see...just for the process). Edited September 8, 2021 by candlesinflorida
jmspgh
I use painters tape to label my test containers. Easy to see what I write and easy to remove. It has worked well for me so far but I haven't (yet) spilled a lot of wax on them to see how it holds up to that.
TallTayl
Painters tape or packing tape work well for me. Though a quick wipe off with alcohol gets pretty much all tapes stick to my metal, glass and ceramic. Sometimes a long length of scotch tape that goes around the whole container to meet back on itself works very well and comes off nice and clean when done.
