Help with Palm wicking

Recommended Posts

I used the 14oz Libbey Cube jar and filled with 10oz of glass glow.

The jar is 3.5 inches at it’s widest point.

I tested with csn 14 and csn 16. Let cure for 6 days.

The pics are at 2 and 4.5 hour burn times.  The melt pool is about 1/2 inch deep, maybe a little less.

CS wick guide recommended the csn 14. I tried that and the 16 since the square shape might be problematic. But, even the 16 got no where near the edge of the jar.

The next size size up is the 22. Should I wick up or am I doing something wrong?

Is this the first burn? Palm doesn't burn like soy or paraffin. It will burn down before it burns out. My palm candles don't reach the side of the jar until about the middle of the 3rd 4 hour burn.

ETA- I should  have added that in that size jar my palm candles don't reach the side of the jar until about the middle of the 3rd 4 hour burn.
