cp0421
We are very close to finishing my shop. At first I was not going to do anything with the concrete slab but now I'm second guessing myself. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Forrest
You could cover the area you walk on in those interlocking squares, Amazon calls them Puzzle Exercise Mat. These have the advantage of being easy to replace. Our granddaughter’s room is covered in the ABC ones and they are nice to walk on. Or you might go down to Lowes and look at all of the peel and stick options.
Timber
Have you ever seen paper bag floors? I think they look soooo good! A quick google search will give you all kinds of pictures & instructions. I know someone that recovered her floors like this & it is gorgeous. TallTayl
I keep going back to either wide paper rolls or big towels over my shop floor. Each catches drips and can be quickly changed out to keep the floors safe. Tried old bed sheets but they were too big for my space. The mats worked til I had to clean them (gross!) cp0421
Thank you so much for the suggestions. I've tried the foam mats and they got nasty real quick but haven't thought of the paper. Lowe's has rolls of paper which are reasonably priced.
TallTayl
Rolls of wide heavy kraft paper work well, and can be composted when used up. I roll out “runners” by work space to catch drips. On the work surfaces, a roll of freezer paper is pretty convenient. I get the size that closely matches the depth of the counter top from webstaurant store. The roll sits in the corner ready for use on demand.
