Pink Sugar®
[compare to Aquolina®-brand]

THE original fragrance oil rendition of Selectiva's® very popular Aquolina perfume, this scent is delicate, sweet, light-hearted and innocent.

It smells of Cotton Candy, Vanilla and Caramel. But it's also lightened with a fresh Bergamot and orangy citrus top note, with touches of Berries, Muget, Strawberry, Plum, and a dry-down of Dry Fig Leaves, Musk, Anise, Musk and Woods. In our Shea Butter lotion test batch, it didn't discolor at all even though it was left exposed to light and uncovered for 2 weeks.

Dragon's Blood

Sangre de Grado is a type of South American Herb. A medium-large sized tree that grows in height from 30 to 60 feet, it is found throughout the tropical and Amazon regions of South America, and the resin has been used for numerous health conditions by native healers.

Paying homage to the resin of this plant in name only, this fragrance is a heady mix of incense, vanilla, patchouli and woody base notes, touched with amber and myrrh.

Dark Espresso Vetiver
[compare to Jo Malone® Black Vetyver Café® -brand]

This is a fragrance that celebrates the sensuality and warmth of basenotes like no other. Generally simple and spotlighting the interplay between Coffee and Vetiver, it still has uplifting hints of a light citrus accord and a sensual spicy heart. Like a pair of mirrors echoing their own reflection, the astringency of vetiver, incense and bitter coffee enhance and strengthen each other as they reverbate over sweet woods.

Top notes of Black Roasted Coffee open and are accented by Lemony Cistus woods. As the scent unfolds, a spicey heart of Mace, Green Pepper and Coriander enhances the sharp astringency of the initial topnotes. The dominant incense base notes kick in with a counterpoint of Smoky Incense, Haitian Vetiver, Sandalwood, Juniper, Bubinga Wood, Green Lichen and just a hint of Bouron Vanilla.

Our interpretation of this sensual Jo Malone fragrance has been a long time coming. We had sampled a number of versions that we found were too weak to withstand the saponification process, or were overly heavy on the coffee scent, and have finally tweaked our formula as we like it. We are delighted by this version, as it is well behaved and lasting in all of our applications. We have had testers comment about how our version of the scent is even better than the original perfume it is based upon.

Tonic
[compare to Clarins®-brand]

Based on the very popular Clarins® body treatment oil, our rendition is a very appealing spa-type scent.

Astringent, fresh and green with a sweet floral heart of geranium and rosemary.

Saltwater? No. More like tears, dustiness, airy, breezy, not much noise, rhythms, a small sweet note, smells like lotion you want to put on, light but creamy, creme fraiche. Mid afternoon, partially cloudy, lake beach.

Overall this scent strikes me as an interesting blend; it smells like it's named, and I think even without the label that's how I'd think of it. It has a strong sense of place... like a tranquil spot in the Rockies, that whispers of the fierce power of the coming winter.

Top Notes:  Bergamot, Grapefruit Zest, Meyer Lemon
Middle Notes:  Fresh Basil Leaf, Water Lily, Beach Daisy
Base Notes:  Warm Sand, Rich Patchouli, Vetiver Grass.

Provence - https://web.archive.org/web/20111117041628/http://store.scent-works.com:80/prcty.html

Provence
[compare to DLish® Clean-brand]

Part of the Randi Shinder's Clean line introduced in 2003, Provence is a "soft, fresh, beautiful scent captured by the fine milled soaps of France."

Reminiscent of pure soap and water or freshly laundered linens. Our interpretation of this delicate, airy and "just-lathered" fresh fragrance has something comforting about it... like being in a beautiful open field of sweet hay on the first day of Spring.

Infused with notes of Provencal lemon, cotton blossom, rose geranium, sweet lime and soft violet musk.
