hometowncandles
Hey all, I hope this is the right place for this question. I am using KYSOY125 and am needing to dye it black for a special candle for a friend. I am currently using the color dye flakes from AH/RE for my candles, but was wondering if that would be the best way to go or if something else might work better. Jcandleattic
The only wax I've ever had luck coloring black, is straight pillar paraffin. Any blend of container wax the best I could get was a dark grey or light charcoal. You could try a liquid black... That might get you closer than the dye flakes will... TallTayl
I use liquid colorants for beeswax and soy. I get a decent black using either candle science or peaks liquid black. It takes a good amount but it works. some liquid blacks I discovered have a brown hue to them. The EVo liquid for instance that I have does. hometowncandles
Thank you both so much, I need some things from Candle Science anyway, so i may give their liquid black a try.
wthomas57
Either a freaking boat load of black liquid dye or dye blocks.
