glasllyn
Has anyone tried using flavor concentrates (without sugars) in place of FOs? I can't find any reasons they wouldn't work if they didn't contain sugars, but I don't know. They're relatively inexpensive from sites that sell them to vape oil makers. TallTayl
The concentration Is likely not what you would expect for scenting candles or b&b. A glance at an IFRA certificate would help identify if the product is suitable for the intended use. You will need to test thoroughly to see if the aromachemicals used in the vape product would survive in another product application. For example, soap is a very harsh environment for aromachemicals. It would be difficult to find vape aromachemicals that would survive. Researched a couple of companies not long ago and found very few suitable for candles or soap... I have a collection and find them pretty weak smelling and pricey to use in soap or candles.
glasllyn
Thanks for you input! I'm not sure if flavor chemicals are under IFRA jurisdiction. Maybe FDA? I have to look into it. Seems like as long as it's GRAS, it'll pass.
rctfavr3
I don't see why not. I have on a whim but haven't sold anything containing flavor oils. Just make sure they're safe and don't contain water, glycerin, sorbitol or sugars.
