msant
I love making sugar scrubs but am looking to use body safe dyes that won't stain the skin and will work with my recipe. It is oil and butter based with emulsifying wax and fragrance. I'm not sure if its best to use micas, dyes for melt and pour or cold process soaping. If anyone has any recommendations I would greatly appreciate it! I have used dyes for melt and pour soaps but not sure if these are in the best form for the scrubs. TallTayl
I use either micas or micas with colored jojoba beads since neither will stain or fade under UV rays
ktaggard
I use micas. When I first started making scrubs, I just used a little food coloring. Worked OK, but would fade in sunlight.
SuzyK
I use liquid dyes that are made for soaps. Most of them are micas in glycerin.
