Escalady00
Hello, I am a newbie to posting on this forum. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am using a 21 oz status jar. I have double wicked (my first time double wicking a jar) the jar with 2 CD-7 wicks. The candle smells nice, burns with a nice melt pool, however, as the wick burns, it eventually burns with a small flame and it appears that is is about to drown, but after several hours it never not. I am wondering if I should leave the wick as is or wick up. Thanking you in advance.
beckemmons
How many times have you burned it? If it's not drowning out I would say leave it. What type of wax?
TallTayl
Hi and welcome!Do you have any photos? Sometimes a pic is worth 1,000 words. Some initial questions:How deep is the melt pool? Too deep and the wicks can sag or slump making the wicks appear too small. What fragrance did you use? What other additives? What type of wax?
Trappeur
I don't know what wax you are using but why do you have to double wick that jar? A single wick should be more than adequate for that jar. Trappeur

Escalady00
So sorry for the delay as I had surgery. Thank you for your assistance. I burned it twice for 3 hours each time.

Escalady00
Hello Trappeur. I thought that a jar this size would require double wicks. This is my first attempt at double wicking. Do you think that a single wick would work? I am currently using CD7. Would you mind sharing your thoughts. Thank you.
