21 Oz Status Jar - (CD-7) Wick up or down?

Recommended Posts

Hello, I am a newbie to posting on this forum. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am using a 21 oz status jar. I have double wicked (my first time double wicking a jar) the jar with 2 CD-7 wicks. The candle smells nice, burns with a nice melt pool, however, as the wick burns, it eventually burns with a small flame and it appears that is is about to drown, but after several hours it never not. I am wondering if I should leave the wick as is or wick up. Thanking you in advance.

Hi and welcome!

Do you have any photos? Sometimes a pic is worth 1,000 words.

Some initial questions:

How deep is the melt pool? Too deep and the wicks can sag or slump making the wicks appear too small.

What fragrance did you use?

What other additives?

What type of wax?
