ladybug1
can anyone help with a recipe for tarts, I used 80%soy and 20% pillar blend, but I get frosting, thanks Edited January 4, 2015 by ladybug1
Belinda
I'm not real familiar with a soy ratio that high, but when I do use soy, I only use it at about 25% to a paraffin pillar wax. I only use it to make my tarts have a creamy appearance when I use molds. When I pour into clamshells I use all paraffin. I have used KY's para/soy tart blend and never noticed any frosting. I don't know what the ratio of soy to paraffin is in that wax but I'm pretty sure it's at least 50/50.HTH
Faerywren
I use a 50/50 blend of container soy and pillar paraffin. I'm guessing the 20% paraffin in your blend isn't enough to counteract the soy frosting.
