What to do with lots of left over waxes?

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone! I have some pots with mixed left over waxes, there is palm wax, paraffin, soy wax... And it's a lot.

Is there anything I can do with that? Sometimes i make firestarters but with soy and Palm it seems they don't catch up fire really well. Any idea? Thanks!

I keep a 5 gallon bucket right under the spout of our wax melter. It catches what I spill, what drips out of the melter, and also any mess-ups get dumped into plus any residue left in our pour pots gets poured into it. Generally I fill a backet up every 6-9 months. We only use paraffin so I use this wax for firestarters, and whenever I make cintronella candles for personal use I use this wax.

Why do you have left over wax?

Hi everyone, I have a lot of left overs because of little weighing mistakes, or because a palm pillar sometimes needs a refill sometimes not.

Maybe soy works right in firestarters, I found palm waxes are not so good, but maybe mixed with paraffin it will do what it should.

I guess I need to try it and see!
