SueH Posted January 3, 2006 Posted January 3, 2006 A while back before I started soapmaking my Aunt had given me a soap from the B&B Works and she wrapped it in netting and tied it with a ribbon. I recently started making CP soap and was thinking of trying this. She put the soap in the netted material and gathered it at the top and tied the top with the ribbon. Just wanted to get some opinions.TIA!! Quote
CallawayCandle Posted January 4, 2006 Posted January 4, 2006 I am picturing this in my head and wondering if the netting would rub on the soap? I don't make CP but i've made some M&P and it just seems like anything rubbing on it really mars the surface. JMO, Heather Quote
Scented Posted January 4, 2006 Posted January 4, 2006 I gotta see a project to become attracted to it and then smell it next and then there's that touch issue lol. Quote
Purple Lilac Posted January 4, 2006 Posted January 4, 2006 callaway is right, the netting rubs up against the soap and smears the soap on the netting if it is handled a lot. Quote
katinka Posted January 7, 2006 Posted January 7, 2006 Hi thereJust my opinion, but I could see the netting work if you shrinkwrap your soap before placing it in the netting.HTHKatinka Quote
Prudence Posted January 7, 2006 Posted January 7, 2006 I first wrap my m&p soap in "Sam's wrap & then use the netting. keeps it safe from scratches. Quote
